Donna St. Hill is a development finance advisor and Executive Director of Equity Strategies International, consulting on global corporate responsibility, development and economic governance, and innovative investment strategies. She has advised public sector and multi-lateral agencies including the Commonwealth Secretariat, the United Nations Development Programme, and the British Council. She is also Founder of Investors for Development (I4D), an initiative to harness international capital markets to create development and prosperity through sustainable profit.

A former television news anchor and public affairs business entrepreneur, she has advised world leaders, global business figures and multi-lateral agencies on financial and partnership innovations for international development. She has published and spoken widely on foreign direct investment and economic governance in developing economies; entrepreneurship and poverty reduction strategies; and trade policy and development. She has advised the UNDP and UNCTAD in the areas of trade, investment and equitable growth and is also a Commonwealth expert on gender equity, finance and macroeconomic policy. Governments and institutions in a wide range of countries including Barbados, Cameroon, Canada, Ethiopia, Fiji, Ireland, Japan, Mongolia, Mauritius Nigeria and the UK have benefited from her expertise.

Donna has recently been invited to be a non-executive director of a pre-IPO mining company operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Gabon with substantial investment projects in Cameroon; and has also recently been invited to sit on the board of Nigeria's first privately owned oil refinery.

Donna is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, an invitation-only organization set up by President Bill Clinton to bring together a community of global leaders to devise and implement solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges. Voted one of the UK’s 100 most influential black people in the PowerList, and one of Management Today Magazine’s “35 Women Under 35” to watch, Donna holds a BA in International Development from Carleton University, Canada, and read for the M.Sc. and Ph.D. in International Relations at the London School of Economics.
